Dr. Alemu Beeftu

Gospel of Glory is a worldwide network of people like you. In Brazil, we're largely business people seeking to grow the church around the world by becoming better leaders ourselves. In Ethiopia, we're Christians just a decade out from being an underground church. In the US, we're staff, intercessors, and donors who want to see God's Kingdom grow in depth, breadth, and health. In every case, we share a special burden for the Church and its leaders in parts of the world where formal and traditional training has limited impact. We see Gospel of Glory as an important tool in God's hands to bring critical training to the emerging church-and today, we have over a decade of God's provision and favor behind us in accomplishing that task.

Our founder and president, Dr. Alemu Beeftu, was born on an isolated farm in central Ethiopia. As the youngest of 10 children, Alemu was expected to spend his life on the family farm. But he was so desperate to learn how to read and write that he ran away to a missionary school at around age 12. Once there, he not only learned literacy but also found a Savior in Jesus Christ. Alemu's personal experience as one without easy access to written resources led him to pursue education with a passion.

As the Communist persecution of the church intensified, friends and mentors begged Alemu to become a student abroad. He culminated his education with degrees from Biola University and Michigan State University, where he holds both masters and doctoral degrees in Curriculum Design and Community Development. While at Michigan State, Alemu served as Assistant Professor in Adult & Lifelong Education. Nearly 20 years on the international field (including a decade as the Christian Leadership Development Specialist for Compassion International) also intensified Alemu's personal passion for, and understanding of, his work through Gospel of Glory.

Today, Gospel of Glory's reach extends into over 25 countries on six continents. Our alternative training methods, still being developed for less-than-traditional Christian training sites, are being embraced by areas throughout the world where a "leadership vacuum" exists for the Church. Alemu Beeftu is the author of "The Leadership Journey" Strategic Leadership for Maximum Impact. As well as "Determination - To Make A Difference" We invite you to become a part of this growing network of leadership development and strategy.
